Mind in Motion - At the center of your being

At the center of your being,
you have the answer;
you know who you are
and you know what you want.
Lao Tzu

Thomas Hanna made the Feldenkrais’ Teacher Training at Lone Mountain College in San Francisco happen. A philosopher and author, Hanna came up with the contemporary meaning of somatics as being about the first-person experience of the body and developed his distinct neuromuscular approach.

Once again, I am presenting at this year’s Association for Hanna Somatic Movement Education® conference. I taught the SPIFFER model several years back; this time, I’m addressing what it means to move from the center. I’m teaching a classic Feldenkrais lesson, unpacking the how and why, and applying it to how we move when we work hands-on with others.

The conference is online and open to anyone. My workshop happens next Saturday morning. Please click here for more information.

P.S. You can purchase the recordings of my recent, comprehensive series about learning to move from your center, including bonus lessons, here.
