The Bodywise Project

Your anatomy is built to move with ease and strength.

Your brain is designed for life-long learning.

Isn’t it time to put the wisdom of your body to work for you?

The Bodywise Project is a year-long course that makes the power of the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education available to you. No prior experience is required. The program is for you if you’d like to:

    • Release chronic muscle tension.

    • Improve your flexibility, breath, and strength.

    • Tap into your potential for learning.

    • Reinforce your resilience.

    • Turn your limitations into starting points for change.

    • Take what you learn into your life.

“I’ve been attending Feldenkrais® classes since the Pandemic began.
I can truthfully say, that through these classes I’ve learned to move freely with less effort, making daily living easier!

As you learn to move with less effort, neuronal pathways are changing, too!
Old habits are broken and a more focused and creative self emerges, along with newfound abilities to function at a better level.

The changes I’ve experienced have enhanced my passions for life and living.

Join me. We’re never too old to learn and change.

The Bodywise Project Faculty

The Bodywise Project is taught by leading Feldenkrais teacher and trainer, movement scientist, and multimedia author, Larry Goldfarb, Ph.D.

Larry has been teaching and writing about the Feldenkrais Method® for 40 years and training others around the world for 28. An innovative and caring coordination coach, he is known for his ability to help people from all walks of life realize their capacity to learn and do things they love with greater skill and joy.

During the Bodywise meet-ups, Larry will be assisted by:

Beth Rubenstein, MS, PT
Building on her experience as a physical therapist,
Beth became a Feldenkrais teacher in 1991.

Naffie Fischbacher
After a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist,
Naffie became a Feldenkrais teacher in 1997.

“If you are lucky enough to study with Larry Goldfarb,
you will be empowered, encouraged, and enlightened all at the same time.

While famous for his lucid explanations of body mechanics and brain function, what I find so wonderful is how he speaks to you as though you are the only one in the room. Larry cares intensely about each person’s learning.

There are no stupid questions in his classes, and he makes the lessons accessible for newcomers and exciting for experienced learners.  Whether teaching classical lessons or his own well-constructed innovations, you can count on him to be thoughtful, thought-provoking, and entertaining.

I study with Larry Goldfarb every chance I get – and I strongly encourage you to do that, too!”

The Bodywise Project
TEACHER’S PROGRAM

Ready to improve how you teach Awareness Through Movement®?

Want to deepen your understanding?

Looking for inspiration?

Whether you’ve been teaching ATM® classes for years or you’re just starting out, this could be the perfect time to take your teaching to the next level.

That’s why we are offering a series of advanced seminars with Larry Goldfarb in conjunction with The Bodywise Project.

In this TEACHER’S PROGRAM, you’ll meet regularly with Larry over the course of each trimester to delve deeply into the classes he’s teaching. You’ll consider the composition and curriculum of the ATMs, unpack how each one is designed for learning, examine why they work so well together, and develop a deeper appreciation of the strategies, tactics, and techniques that comprise Moshe’s method. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, engage with the other participants, and practice what you learn. All along, Larry will be there to support you in fleshing out your insights, developing your understanding, and integrating what you are learning into your personal ATM practice, the classes you teach, and your creative process.

You have the opportunity to participate in up to ten seminars each trimester, or a total of thirty throughout the entire program. Whether you attend or not, you’ll be able to stream the recording of every meeting. You’ll also receive the transcript of the lessons Larry shares with the class.

In addition to getting everything in The Bodywise Project, when you sign up for the TEACHER’S PROGRAM, you will also get to:

Clarify the method

Decode the deep systemic structure of the Feldenkraisian approach.

Hone your skills

Discover, explore, and adopt the abilities that make for excellence in educating.

Add to the repertoire

Receive the ATM transcripts so you’ll have the lessons at your fingertips.

Connect with colleagues

Join a network of engaged, like-minded, and committed teachers.
