A way forward

Mind in Motion - A way forward

If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
— African Proverb

For three decades, I have overseen Feldenkrais teacher training programs in the United States and Europe, serving as both educational director and administrator. As the director, I designed the curriculum, managed faculty, and supported trainees, while as the administrator, I handled advertising, logistics, finances, and operations.

Once life started returning to normal from the pandemic and I was making progress recovering from cancer, I realized I no longer had any desire to do both jobs. Talking with a friend about what I want to do in the future, I declared, “I no longer want to put on the circus just to be in the show.”

My realization was instantaneous; finding a way forward was not. There were a few false starts along the way. We finally found the perfect partner to work with: Panta Rhei, one of Europe’s foremost osteopathic training centers. I am excited to inform you that Caro van Iersel and I will co-direct a new teacher training program — our sixth! — at their modern, inviting training facilities in the south of the Netherlands.

Featuring some of the top trainers from around the world and offering a contemporary, comprehensive approach, the PRO-Feldenkrais International Teacher Training Netherlands starts next summer. I will tell you more about what we have planned as we get closer to the launch date. In the meantime, if you’re interested, you can find out more by clicking this link.
