When the winds of change blow,
some people build walls
and others build windmills.
— Chinese proverb
A couple of recent changes have opened up a couple of new chances for Feldenkrais teachers and trainees.
Time is of the essence with both.
Please take a look:
The organizer of my upcoming online advanced training, Preparing for the Return of the Habit, extended the early registration deadline until Wednesday, February 4th.
In case you’re wondering, we already have enough enrolled participants, so the course is definitely on.
The organizer decided to extend the deadline due to the difficulties folks had signing up. Eventbrite is meant for one-time events, so it's a stretch to use it to sign up for a multiday event. Just ignore the confusing display that appears when you click “check availability.”
If you have questions about registering, please contact Jane Johnston, the organizer, by clicking the Contact button on the Eventbrite page.

Looks like the chance to receive personal feedback and individualized coaching on becoming a better Functional Integrator met a real need in the Feldenkrais teacher community.
Not only did this month’s limited-enrollment advanced training about working with rollers in Santa Cruz sell out almost immediately, but it also generated a long waiting list of colleagues who wanted to participate but couldn’t.
Because I so dislike disappointing others, I arranged to teach the same course again soon. Here are the details:
Reclaiming Rollers
Santa Cruz, CA
1 to 5 May 2026
1:00 to 6:45 each
$850 until 10 February, $935 thereafter
Maximum enrollment = 8
To apply, please send a message introducing yourself and outlining your background & experience via the Mind in Motion Online Contact form. Please make sure to mention any of Larry’s courses or programs that you participated in. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once again, we will be meeting in a lovely Santa Cruz vacation rental that offers all the comforts of home, including a well-equipped kitchen and high-speed internet. The house features a spacious living room, dining room, two patios, and a beautiful view of the San Lorenzo River. It’s close to the beach, harbor, Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and Seabright neighborhood, which includes a convenience store, an awesome dive bar, and several wonderful restaurants.
We use the family room as the classroom, leaving the home’s three bedrooms available for participants to rent. There's a primary bedroom with a private bath, along with two other bedrooms. Each of those rooms also has its bathroom, but they are accessible from the public areas of the house.
As you know, the course runs five days, Friday to Tuesday. Because of flight schedules and travel times, it works best to arrive on Thursday and leave sometime on Wednesday. The rental period, therefore, runs for six nights: $1,110 for the main bedroom, $1,020 for the other upstairs bedroom, and $960 for the downstairs bedroom, which is off the family room.
Should you want to stay until Thursday, you can do so for free. There is no extra charge for the extra night.
If you are interested in staying at the house, please let us know when you apply for the course so we can let you know which rooms are still available. The rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is due at the same time as enrollment, unless we make other arrangements.
Once again, the early registration deadline for the May module of Reclaiming Rollers in Santa Cruz is next Tuesday, February 10th, 2026.
