The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone,
but the things you do for others remain
and become your legacy.

This coming Friday morning, my Amherst training classmate and friend, Donna Blank, will present What I Have Learned in 80 Years and What I Haven’t: The Wisdom of Connection as part of the Feldenkrais Guild of North America’s 2023 annual conference. My pal and coconspirator, June LaPointe, will be interviewing and dialoguing with Donna about the cultural zeitgeist in the 1980s and now, her personal and professional development, embodied presence, and more. You can find out more about what she’ll be presenting here.
Because of her background in Laban Movement Analysis and her deep understanding of movement, emotion, and learning, I invited Donna to be part of the faculty of many of the teacher training programs I directed. I’m looking forward to finding out what she has to share with us.
The conference is online so you can attend from anywhere. Since registration includes access to the recordings, you needn’t worry about missing out if the timing isn’t right. If you haven’t signed up for the conference yet, you can do so using this link.
After Donna’s presentation, I’ll be presenting Moving from Your Center, which is about understanding the optimal biomechanics of Judo and the pivotal role it plays in Moshe’s methodology. During the workshop, you will experience an original Awareness Through Movement lesson and apply what you learn to working with others.
