The difference between life and the movies is
that a script has to make sense, and life doesn't.
— Joseph L. Mankiewicz
Last year, the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association released three Global Roots of Somatic Movement videos.
- Video 1 features Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Eleanor Criswell, and Paul Linden.
- Video 2 features Larry Goldfarb, Daria Halprin, and Sondra Fraleigh.
- Video 3 features Patricia Bardi, Alice Cummins, and Mariko Tanabe.
As part of their community-building commitment, ISMETA is holding two special watch parties to view the second video this coming Friday, 28 February 2025. You’re cordially invited to view this film online with colleagues and friends from international somatics community, then followed by breakout room discussions.
The showings will be from 12:00 to 1:30 PM and 8:00 to 9:30 PM US Eastern Time. (Click here to find out when that is in your time zone.)
The cost to attend is only $9 (popcorn not included). Please register here. Attendees of the watch party receive a $9 discount on the cost of the three-video series.
Daria Halprin, Sondra Fraleigh (a fellow Feldenkrais teacher, among her many accomplishments), and I will join for the 12:00 noon Eastern time showing live online.
