Freedom is too enormous
to be slipped under a closet door.

The eighth online Global LGBTQIA+ and Everybody Else Feldenkrais event kicked off with an opening party today, June 16, 2025. Tomorrow, you can attend free Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons taught by Nick Strauss-Klein and Festival founder, Frederick Schjang.
From Tuesday through Friday, this year’s Festival features presentations by a varied and talented Feldenkrais teachers based in Australia (Margaret Kaye and Jodi Krantz), Europe (Nigel Atkinson, Maggie Burrowes, Fritha Pengelly), South America (Michael Landau), and the United States (Stacy Barrows, Scott Fraser, Chrish Kresge).
In addition, the program includes workshops led by Feldenkrais trainers Jeff Haller, David Zemach-Bersin, and me. I will be presenting Get the Most Out of Any ATM Lesson Without Even Trying at 4:00 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday, 18 June, and then again at 9:00 AM Pacific on Thursday, 19 June.
This weekend, the Festival presents a unique opportunity: a worldwide day of ATM lessons, featuring more than 24 hours of lessons in a row. Get ready to immerse yourself in a day of learning and growth.
The Festival is expanding this year to offer, for the first time, more than ten ATMs taught in Spanish.

The opening party, the first two events, and the Spanish lessons are all available free of charge. For the schedules, tuition, and information on how to sign up, please click here.

The final event of the June 2024 Global LGBTQIA+ Festival was another first: a panel discussion on the Feldenkrais Method in and for the rainbow community. I was honored to participate in the fascinating, wide-ranging discussion alongside Maggy Burrowes, Margaret Kaye, Fritha Pengelly, Frederick Schjang, and Connor Voss.
