Dear reader,
I dreamt of being back in grade school the other night. I remember flashes of long ago classrooms and running around the playground. I woke up at the end of a math exam right after the teacher announced, “Time’s up. Please put your pencil down.”
Though it’s been a long time since I took a test in school, those words kept reverberating in my thoughts.
Later today, I will start teaching my annual Awareness Through Movement summer camp. Next weekend, I’ll present the Teachers’ Seminars associated with that program to interested teachers and trainees. Then I am going to take a bit of a break.
I’m writing this brief note to let you know that I will put my pencil down for the next few weeks and won’t be writing any blog posts.

Dear Larry, Colleagues continue to talk about your summer course! Many of us plan to participate, and we spread the word of your teaching. 'Pencil down' rings a bell.
