This is a shout-out to the group starting to learn how to facilitate learning in the Feldenkraisian fashion in Massachusetts!
Today marks the 1st day of the 3rd Boston Feldenkrais Teacher Training. The training is being held at the historic Andover Theological School in Newton Centre, Massachusetts, which was also home to the first two Boston trainings. Once again, an accredited, quality training is available in the Northeast region of the US of A. Thanks to the local community of committed Feldenkrais teachers and their students, these new trainees are beginning to learn the art and science of the Feldenkrais Method of somatic education. What a wonderful day for the method!
Insightful and inspirational Feldenkrais trainer Eliza Stewart brings all she’s learned from decades of studying, applying, and teaching the method, especially her renowned expertise with professional musicians, and from years of training teachers to this fine program. Eliza and a roster of guest trainers (that I am honored to be a member of) are offering a contemporary program founded firmly in the traditions of the method and designed to prepare a new cadre of teachers to practice Moshe’s methodology.
I wish these new teachers-in-training and future Feldenkrais colleagues — along with the faculty and staff of the program — the best of beginnings in Boston!
