MASTERING THE METHOD Module 13, Santa Cruz

June 6 @ 1:30 pm to June 10 @ 3:00 pm

MASTERING THE METHOD (MTM) is for Feldenkrais teachers committed to improving their precision of touch, clarity of intention, and artfulness in execution. Studying the standards and masterpieces is a time-honored path to developing skillful mastery. In the lexicon of Functional Integration lessons, there are those structures and strategies that are so consistently effective, so remarkably reliable, that we can count on them to facilitate learning.

In each module of this advanced training series, Larry Goldfarb, CFT, Ph.D. presents a remarkably clear map of one such archetypal lesson plan. From the explaining the overall strategy to patiently coaching each participant in learning every technique, Larry provides the general instruction and personal guidance needed to successfully add this lesson to your repertoire of FI lessons.

Trainer Bio
Dr. Larry Goldfarb has over thirty years of experience as a Feldenkrais teacher. He maintains a private practice, working with adults and children. He has taught ATM in public classes, workshops for performing artists and dance companies, seminars for physical and occupational therapists, and injury prevention programs for bus drivers, bank tellers, grocery clerks, gardeners, and others. As a trainer, he has directed Feldenkrais Teacher Training''s in the United States, France, the Netherlands, and Australia. However, he spends more of his time working with teachers: providing supervision and coaching along with teaching advanced training, master classes, & mentor development programs. One of his books, Articulating Changes, which has been published in English and French, sets forth a conceptual framework for the method, The other one, Back into Action, a collaboration with the artist Sage Lee, is an illustrated set of ATM lessons. He is fun, straightforward and collegial teacher who enjoys nothing more than building confidence through competence.
