Studying the standards and masterpieces is a time honored path to developing mastery. In the lexicon of Functional Integration® lessons, there are classic structures and strategies that are so consistently effective, so remarkably reliable, that we count on them to facilitate learning.

In each installment of this advanced training series, Larry Goldfarb, CFT, Ph.D. offers a multi-dimensional map of one such archetypal lesson plan. In a careful and complete manner, this workshop offers all you need in order to add this lesson plan to your personal repertoire.

 

MASTERING THE METHOD, Berkeley will be held:

Module 1: 27 - 31 October, 2010

Module 2: 15 - 19 June, 2011

Module 3: 14 - 18 March, 2012

In MASTERING THE METHOD, Module 2 Larry will introduce both the techniques and the logic behind an FI that dramatically re-balances Flexor-Extensor tonus, revealing just how each step contributes to the learning process. Exploring how to take this lesson into life, participants will discover its potential for noticeable change.

 

Each MASTERING THE METHOD Advanced Training workshop participant who registers online will receive free access to the Mind In Motion Online Mastering the Method forum.

Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

 

TUITION:

Module 2 only: $650.00

Modules 1 - 3: $1.650.00 Early Registration by 26 September, 2010

Cancellation Policy:
By registering for this class you acknowledge that $150.00 (one-hundred fifty dollars) of your tuition, per module, is a non-refundable down payment and there are no credits or refunds for any missed classes. For cancellations between 30 - 7 days prior to the first day of class 50% of the remaining tuition will be refunded. No refunds will be given for any cancellations received after 12 noon PST June 08, 2011.

Description

Directions to Rudramandir:

Our building is on the South-East corner of the intersection.

  • FROM THE FREEWAY: Take I-80 to Berkeley’s University Avenue exit and head east. At the first light, turn right onto Sixth Street. Proceed 3 blocks to Bancroft Way.

  • DRIVING WITHIN BERKELEY: Take University Avenue west towards I-80, turn left onto Sixth Street. Proceed 3 blocks to Bancroft Way.
    OR… Take Dwight Way west towards I-80. At the light at 7th, make a soft right to 6th Street and proceed 2 blocks to Bancroft Way.

     

  • BART:
  • Take the “Richmond” Line to the North Berkeley station. To walk from BART: go south (right) on Sacramento to University Ave. Turn right on University and walk .8 mile to Sixth Street. Turn left (south) on Sixth and go 3 blocks to Bancroft Way. 20-25 minute walk.
  • BY BUS FROM NORTH BERKELEY BART STATION:
  • Bus #19 leaves the station (or the corner of Delaware & Sacramento non-peak and weekends) 15 and 45 minutes after every hour. Take the bus heading NORTH - will circle & stop at 6th and Allston Way. Walk one block south to Bancroft. Last bus to BART leaves shortly after 10 pm.

  • BY BUS FROM DOWNTOWN BERKELEY BART STATION: Take the NORTHBOUND #51. Leaves Shattuck across from the station every 10 minutes and goes to University and 6th Street. Walk 3 blocks south on 6th to Bancroft. Last bus back to BART from 6th & University leaves shortly after 11:30 pm.

  • PARKING: There is ample parking around Rudramandir, particularly WEST of 6th Street. However, out of respect for the residential neighbors around us, we ask that whenever possible our guests follow these guidelines:

    • - Park directly in front of the building, or on 6th Street between Bancroft Way and Addison (the block north of our building, towards University).
    • - Park on Bancroft Way, between 6th and 4th Streets (west of 6th).
    • - Park on 5th and 4th Streets between Channing and Addison.
    • PLEASE DO NOT PARK EAST OF 6TH STREET. Those streets are in a residential area and parking is reserved for our neighbors. Also, please be careful NOT to block driveways.

      Please carpool, use BART, bus and bicycles whenever possible.
